It’s definitely been a busy few months, what with a bunch of readings and events across Canada’s eastern third so far in December, January, and February. The fun continues through March and April as well!
I’m pretty excited to announce that I’ll be back reading in Fredericton, NB, for the first time in years (and launching my new collection, Some Nights It’s Entertainment; Some Other Nights Just Work), on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2:00pm at the super fantastic Odd Sundays Reading Series, which is held at Corked Wine Bar (83 Regent Street).
Odd Sundays is Fredericton’s longest-running, semi-monthly, poetry-and-more reading series. Events occur bi-weekly on Sundays throughout the fall, winter and spring, and usually include two featured readers at each event (each reading for approximately 20 minutes), followed by an open mic, and a book draw. The series has been informally and persistently supported by the Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick; the Departments of English at St. Thomas University and the University of New Brunswick; and the lively writers and readers from Fredericton’s rich literary community.
In addition to yours truly reading from Some Nights It’s Entertainment; Some Other Nights Just Work, published by Gaspereau Press in Fall 2016), this edition of Odd Sundays also features Christine Cornell.
Things are set to begin at 2:00pm, but be sure to come early enough to grab a good seat and chat it up with friends and poets beforehand. Admission is FREE, everyone is welcome, and books will be available for purchase on site.
I’ll also have copies of some broadsides (Bear, Harbour, etc.) as well as chapbooks for sale, for those interested in something more than just books.
Hope to see you there!
