Matt is happy to announce that he’ll be reading from his new poetry collection, Some Nights It’s Entertainment; Some Other Nights Just Work, in beautiful Lunenburg, NS, on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 7:00pm when he visits the South Shore’s best darn book shop, Lexicon Books (125 Montague Street, Lunenburg, NS).
One of the South Shore’s gems, Lexicon Books is Jo Treggiari, Alice Burdick and Anne-Marie Sheppard, who joined together in May 2015 to open an independent bookstore in lovely downtown Lunenburg, NS. They hand-pick books to reflect their passion for quality & variety. Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, small press, graphic novels, young adult & children’s books are their focus.
In addition to Robinson launching Some Nights It’s Entertainment; Some Other Nights Just Work, which was published by Gaspereau Press earlier in Fall 2016, this celebration of new Nova Scotia poetry features Halifax’s Margo Wheaton reading from her new collection, The Unlit Path Behind the House, which was recently released by McGill-Queens University Press.
As noted, things are set to begin at 7:00pm, but be sure to drop by a bit early to browse the shelves and chat it up with friends and poets beforehand.
Admission is FREE, everyone is welcome, and books will be available for purchase on site. (It’s a bookstore, after all.)
Matt will also have copies of some of his limited edition broadsides (Bear, Harbour, Dog, and others) as well as chapbooks for sale, for those interested in something more than just books. Hope to see you there!
